An example:

One instruction was a plain shirt, no designer clothes, no earrings, and no make-up. At some point, in the stillness, this instruction came back into a participant's consciousness and she shared her experience; how shocked she was by this directive, and how naked it felt to her now, how she always hid behind her makeup, she didn't feel good enough without it, and a whole cesspool of judgments, assumptions and adjusted behavior was associated with it . You can't manage all these thoughts, habits and feelings on your own to gain consciousness (for her this was an enormous liberation, her whole face took on color and radiated openness). With a judgmental person, even if it's your best friend, you quickly stop sharing all your feelings. But because of the support of the whole group, the love, the sensitivity, the unbiased listening and because the vulnerability was so high at this stage, the sharing of the most vulnerable things became possible. Although the group is not just continuously loving and sensitive, this was the phase we ended up in.
